John Price earned his Ph.D. in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Victoria, Canada. He has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including children's hospitals, community mental health settings, prisons, and NC's infant-toddler program. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at Elon University. In his spare time he enjoys fly fishing and watching football and hockey.
Carnice Covert earned her Psy.D. from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She completed her doctoral internship at Western Carolina University. Trained as a generalist, her clinical experience includes providing psychological assessment and therapy to a diverse population. Currently, she also works as a staff clinician at Elon University's Counseling Services. She enjoys learning about mindfulness and incorporating these practices into her clinical work. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting new places around the state and playing with her puppy, Izzy.
CJ Fleming earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Elon University, where she teaches and conducts research on help-seeking for mental health concerns. She has conducted clinical work in a variety of settings, and specializes in couple/family work, trauma treatment, and assessment. She is an avid reader and fan of UNC and Elon sports.

Diana Prieto Vinas is a native from Spain. She received her B.A. from Universidad de Valladolid where she studied English Language, History and Literature. She is also pursuing a Masters degree in Intercultural Education. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of El Centro in the CREDE at Elon University. In her current role, Diana strives to educate the campus community about diversity, inclusion, social justice and cultural competence. She loves traveling and hiking with her dog.
Katie LaPlante is a graduate of Elon University, with a degree in Psychology. She earned a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland and is a Licensed Psychological Associate in North Carolina. Katie has been providing mental health services to children and adults for over ten years. In addition to her work with Carolina Child Psychology, she is the Assistant Director of Counseling and Family Programs for the Elon Academy, a college access and success program at Elon University. Katie keeps busy attending Elon sporting events with her spouse and three children, reading, and running.
