Our Clinicians

John Price earned his Ph.D. in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Victoria, Canada. He has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including children's hospitals, community mental health settings, prisons, and NC's infant-toddler program. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at Elon University. In his spare time he enjoys fly fishing and watching football and hockey.

Katie LaPlante is a graduate of Elon University, with a degree in Psychology. She earned a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland and is a Licensed Psychological Associate in North Carolina. Katie has been providing mental health services to children and adults for over fifteen years. In addition to her work with Carolina Child Psychology, she is the Assistant Director of Counseling and Family Programs for the Elon Academy, a college access and success program at Elon University. Katie keeps busy attending Elon sporting events with her spouse and three children, reading, and practicing yoga.
